About

Hello Shugg

Writer. Mother. Founder.

Candice Bell is a writer, mother, and the founder of Hello Shugg. Her debut memoir, THIS IS WHAT SURVIVAL LOOKS LIKE, is an unflinching account of motherhood, addiction, accountability, and identity — and the ongoing work of learning to live beyond survival.

Her writing is direct, reflective, and grounded in lived experience. She explores the difficult truths that achievement can conceal, the habits that become part of an identity, and the accountability required to change them. Her work asks what happens when being capable is no longer enough—when getting things done does not mean you are living well.

Through her writing and Hello Shugg, Candice brings that reflection into everyday life: the standards you maintain, the choices you repeat, and the care you give to yourself and those who depend on you. She believes growth becomes meaningful when it changes how you live. Surviving deserves recognition. What follows deserves intention, care, and consistent execution.

Honesty

Writing and living without the comfort of omission. The truth, even when it costs something.

Accountability

Not as punishment, but as the foundation of becoming someone you can live with.

Intentionality

Every word, every product, every moment — chosen with purpose. That is what Hello Shugg is built on.

Hello Shugg

Shugg's Shop is an extension of the same intentionality that runs through the memoir — thoughtful pieces for everyday living. Curated for those who find meaning in the details.
